Natalia Ivanovic
What do you think makes you a good coach?
My goal is to build the students' ability to think for themselves, by providing them with the right tools. I adapt my teaching style to suit the individual.

What are your key strengths?
I am very motivated, driven, and empathetic.

Why do you love Chess?
Playing chess involves a combination of logic and strategic thinking. It is a game you can play anywhere in the world and the rules are always the same, no matter what country you're in.

When/how did you first learn to play?
I started playing at about 8 years of age, and then started a chess club in my primary class so that I would have more people to play with.

Why do you enjoy working with kids?
Teaching children is my passion. I love the feeling when I see children understand new information that they are excited about.

What are your main Chess achievements?
Although I haven't competed actively in chess tournaments I do have a sound understanding of the principles of chess and more importantly, I can communicate these principles to children.

How do you think Chess helps kids?
It improves their memory, strategic reasoning, problem solving, all whilst being able to socialise with others.
