What do you think makes you a good coach?
I focus on building a direct connection with each student and the sharing of knowledge flows from there.

What are your key strengths as a coach?
I’m passionate about Chess. I am patient, enjoy working with students, and am able to communicate effectively.

Why do you love Chess?
I love chess because it’s strategic and fair. You’re the only person who is responsible for winning, and you’re the only person responsible for losing. This teaches full accountability.

When did you first learn to play?
My dad taught me how to play chess when I was about seven years old and taught me some basic strategies.

Why do you enjoy working with kids?

I enjoy working with kids because I get to pass on my knowledge and skills to them. I enjoy partaking in the growth of others.

What are your main Chess achievements?

I participated in the Chess Club at school, and have taught many friends how to play the game.

How do you think chess helps kids?
I think Chess is a very intellectual game that draws many parallels to life. Chess teaches you about strategy, accountability and focus.
