When and How Did You First Learn to Play?

I started learning chess at around 15 years old, taught by my grandfather. Over time, it became a favourite hobby and a powerful tool to stay mentally sharp.


Why Do You Enjoy Working with Kids?

Kids bring energy, curiosity, and a fresh way of thinking. I love:

  • Seeing their confidence grow

  • Celebrating their small wins

  • Helping them enjoy learning through play

Teaching children is always rewarding.

I’ve played chess competitively as a hobby, both:

  • In friendly games with friends

  • During my time in the Navy

These experiences have deepened my love and appreciation for the game.
