I believe what makes me a good coach is my patience and ability to break down complex ideas into simple, engaging steps. Coming from a background in teaching robotics and programming, I’m used to guiding students through challenges one move at a time, encouraging them to think critically without feeling pressured. I focus on making learning fun, supportive, and confidence-building—especially for beginners discovering their potential.
My key strengths include clear communication, empathy, and a strong ability to connect with students. I make sure every learner feels seen and supported, no matter their skill level. I’m also highly observant—I notice when a student is confused, losing confidence, or needs encouragement—and I adapt my approach to help them keep growing. My experience coaching students in robotics taught me how to motivate young minds through creativity and curiosity.
I love chess because it teaches more than how to win—it teaches patience, foresight, and the importance of every small decision. Just like coding or building robots, every move in chess has a purpose. Chess is both peaceful and powerful—no shortcuts, no luck, just pure thinking. I admire how it challenges me to stay calm, think ahead, and respect both success and mistakes.
I first learned the basics of chess when I was young, by simply watching others play. At first, I only knew how the pieces moved, but over time, curiosity grew into genuine appreciation. Recently, as I began coaching and working with students, I returned to chess more seriously—this time not just as a game, but as a tool for teaching focus, discipline, and resilience.
I enjoy working with kids because they bring energy, honesty, and imagination into everything. Through my robotics and programming classes, I’ve seen that kids aren’t afraid to try, fail, or laugh at their mistakes—they remind me to stay curious. I feel proud when I see them think independently, ask thoughtful questions, and celebrate their “aha!” moments. Helping them grow—even through small victories—is deeply rewarding.
I’m still at the early stages of my chess journey professionally, so I don’t have major tournament achievements yet. However, my current achievement is my commitment to learning and teaching chess with sincerity and passion. I attend coaching sessions, study the game, and continuously develop so I can guide students not from perfection—but from growth, discipline, and genuine enthusiasm.
Chess helps kids develop life skills that extend beyond the board. It teaches them to think before they move, plan ahead, and stay calm under pressure. It strengthens memory, patience, and problem-solving, while building self-confidence. Most importantly, chess teaches that losing isn’t failure—it’s a lesson for the next game. That mindset helps kids in school, in relationships, and throughout life.
