An invitation only event for qualifying school TEAMS from around the country!
The qualifiers list (for each division) includes the maximum allowed size of your team for the National Finals. Note: Schools must enter a minimum of 4 players. Schools can enter up to the maximum spots they have qualified for.
Registration
- Registration is done via the Tornelo system.
- See the REGISTERING YOUR TEAM INSTRUCTIONS for assistance with registering players.
- You can click the Register Now link to see which schools have already registered.
- The DEADLINE to register is Friday 25th September 2026. No late registrations will be accepted!
Entry Fees
The fee for the Onsite Team Nationals is $315 + GST per team, you will be sent an invoice leading up to the event.

Format
- The event will be run using a "Swiss Format"
- This format ensures that all students will play against players of a similar standard; we expect both novice players and experts to enjoy a fun, learning and social experience.
- All players play 9 games, regardless if they win or lose.
- Time control of 15 minutes per player with no bonus.

- You should send a minimum of four players up to the stated maximum number of places you have qualified for (as per the qualifiers list).
- A school can qualify a maximum of 8 players for the Team Nationals.

- Each school must provide parents or teachers (minimum 1 per each 15 students) who are responsible for supervision of participants for the duration of the event. See the Terms & Conditions page for more information.
