To open the Teams National Finals we thought it would be a great idea to have a special performance from one or more of the players. It could be anything that is unique and entertaining and should only be 5-10 minutes in duration.

So if you have a special talent and you would like to perform, please email with a summary of what you can do along with a link to a video of an excerpt of your performance.

Results of games will be recorded live and are available on the website You can also use this link to see the other teams that will be participating in your division and the players that make up each team.

As this is a school teams event school uniforms are required.
Each player can make up a meal bag before morning tea containing morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea.
We recommend you indicate your catering preferences now so you aren't disappointed. If you are participating in the Teams National event on Sunday you can indicate your catering requirements for this event also.
Food is not provided for adults and will not be provided at the venue. However, you can pre-purchase catering at a discounted rate. We highly recommend you do this as there are limited options for food in proximity of the venue.
Note We are also arranging a coffee truck to be at the venue from 8:30 - 10:30am for coffee purchase.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Catering preferences and Paid Catering options must be completed by close of day Tuesday 23 October 2018. I apologise for the short time-frame but our caterers need sufficient lead time to deliver to our catering requirements.

Additional Activities
We will be running complementary coaching clinics through the day so make sure you take advantage of these.

We will be running the Chess Passport system all day so bring your passports or you can purchase them at the venue.

We are very excited that the players will be involved in creating a piece of living art at Nationals this year. Players will have the opportunity to add their own creative contribution to a 1.75 metre canvas throughout the day. The artwork will then be auctioned at prize giving with proceeds going to the Dark Horse Foundation, a non-profit organisation that helps kids that are struggling with life develop purpose through Chess.
A good selection of chess products will be available for purchase through the day including booksclockschess sets and cool stuff! We will not have EFTPOS facilities so cash is preferred or you can do a bank transfer.
I personally wish you and your team the very best of success in the Chess Power Team National Finals. I trust your team will thoroughly enjoy the day and learn a great deal from the experience.
