I’ve been playing chess since childhood, and it has always been my sanctuary. Being a good coach is a two-way process—I teach, but I also grow alongside my students as they develop discipline, patience, respect, and learn to nurture their unique talents.
Experience is one of my greatest strengths. I’ve worked with players of all ages and levels, observing a wide range of styles and approaches over the board. This has helped me cultivate strong patience, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to adapt my coaching to each student’s needs.
Chess gives me a deep sense of calm. It’s a space where focus, creativity, and strategy come together.
In Grade 5, I became intrigued watching friends play in silence—it made them look so focused and intelligent. That curiosity drew me in and sparked a lifelong passion.
I often see a reflection of myself in them—especially in their effort to learn and grow. Helping kids build confidence, resilience, and joy in learning is incredibly rewarding.
Champion, Peter Stuart Memorial – Reserve (North Shore Open), New Zealand (2025).
Competitor, Qatar Masters (2023 and 2024).
Multiple tournament wins in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
Chess isn’t just about winning—it’s genuinely fun. It helps children connect with others who share their interests and also with their inner selves. Through chess, kids explore critical thinking, develop discipline in their actions, and learn to make thoughtful decisions under pressure.
