What do you think makes you a good coach?

I am patient, clear in my explanations, and I focus on helping students understand concepts step by step.


What are your key strengths?

My key strengths are patience, strong communication, strategic thinking, and reliability.


Why do you love chess?

I love chess because it challenges the mind and strengthens strategic thinking.


When and how did you first learn to play?

I learned chess at school from my school chess coach, and I continued practicing regularly from there.


Why do you enjoy working with kids?

I enjoy working with kids because I like helping them learn, grow in confidence, and develop new skills.


What are your main chess achievements?

I have been a provincial champion multiple times and have participated in All Island chess tournaments in Sri Lanka. I currently do not have an official rating.


How do you think chess helps kids?

Chess helps kids improve concentration, problem-solving skills, patience, and decision-making.
