Dates
There will be three tournaments in 2021 taking place on: Sunday 30 May 2021, Sunday 22 August 2021 and Sunday 7 November
REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY FOR ALL PLAYERS TO SECURE YOUR PLACE
Format
- Open to all players aged under 18 years before 1 January 2021
- Swiss format
- One-day rapid tournament with 6 rounds
- Time control of 25 minutes + 5 seconds bonus
- Tie break system:
- If two or more players achieve the same score at the end of the event, tie-breaks will be used to determine the overall winner as follows:
- Buchholz Cut 1 (the Buchholz score reduced by the lowest score of the opponents)
- Buchholz (the sum of the scores of each of the opponents of a player)
- Sonneborn-Berger
- Cumulative system - Sum of Progressive Scores
- Direct encounter (the result of the direct encounter between the players if they played each other)
- The greater number of wins including forfeits
- The greater number of wins with Black pieces

Players’ meeting and tournament starts 09.00 am. Please ensure you arrive by 08:40am at the latest for player check-in.
All players must pre-register
Players who attend the event and do not pre-register will not have their place secured and will not be able to play in the 1st round.
Players should be ready to start their games at the published start times for each round. If a player does not arrive within 15 minutes of the published start time of the round, they will lose that round by default.

Eligibility
SuperChamps is open to all players between 4 and 18. No adults are allowed to play.

Can't make the 9am start time?
If you have a busy Sunday morning, we do have the option to start late. If you come in late you will receive a half-point bye for the first two rounds. Please advise us if you intend to take up this option via the comments box when you register online.
