I focus on each student's individual learning style and pace of progress. I take pride in my ability to tailor the learning journey to their skill level, ensuring every student receives personalized and effective chess coaching.

Why do you love chess?

Chess is a perfect blend of creativity, logical thinking, and strategic assessment. It constantly challenges me to think ahead, stay calm under pressure, and learn from every move.

When/how did you first learn to play?

I initially taught myself to play chess and began playing casually. The game quickly captured my interest as a way to develop and sharpen critical thinking skills. Since then, chess has remained a passion of mine since the age of 15.

Why do you enjoy working with kids?

Kids are naturally curious, enthusiastic, and open to learning. They are incredibly receptive to mentorship, and there's no greater joy than seeing them absorb new skills—and eventually, even surpass their teacher. It’s something I truly enjoy and take great pride in.

What are your main chess achievements?

I’ve proudly represented my organization in Sri Lanka Mercantile Chess tournaments and have contributed to team successes in several events, including:
