What Makes Me a Good Coach

I believe that patience, clear communication, and a genuine passion for teaching are what make me an effective coach. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to tailor my approach to help each player grow and enjoy the game.

My Key Strengths

I bring a strong attacking style to my own play, which I love to share with my students. I’m also skilled at motivating players to push their limits and develop their problem-solving abilities—both of which are crucial in chess and beyond.

Why I Love Chess

Chess excites me because of the thrill of the battle on the board and the mental discipline it cultivates. It’s a game that constantly challenges the mind, teaching focus, strategy, and resilience.

When and How I Learned to Play

I started playing chess at the age of 11 and was fortunate to receive formal training at Impact Chess Academy in Chennai. This early foundation helped me build a solid understanding of the game’s fundamentals.

Why I Enjoy Working with Kids

Working with kids is incredibly rewarding because of their natural curiosity and eagerness to learn. I enjoy helping them discover the joy of chess while nurturing critical thinking, patience, and confidence—skills that will benefit them both on and off the board.

My Main Chess Achievements

I hold a current rating of 1639 and have captained my college chess team to zonal championship victories. Additionally, I have secured several state-level championship wins, which have strengthened my competitive experience.

How Chess Helps Kids

Chess teaches children essential life skills such as concentration, strategic thinking, and problem-solving. It encourages patience and perseverance, helping them develop confidence and the ability to handle challenges thoughtfully and calmly.
