Oscar earned his JM title by scoring a perfect 9 out of 9 at the Chess Power Teams Nationals 2019 Junior Division.

Max earned the JM title by winning the 2018 Champions Trophy whilst a year 10 student at Hamilton Boys’ High School. A keen sportsman, Max is also a member of his school’s first tennis team and has represented the Waikato-Bays tennis team at Nationals.

Joe earned his JM title by scoring the highest number of points in the intermediate division of the Chess Power Teams National Finals 2017.

Sarah earned her JM title by competing in the Chess Power Teams National Finals 2017 and scoring 1st equal individually along with JM Christopher Schramm.

Christopher earned his JM title by competing in the Chess Power Teams National Finals 2017 and scoring 1st equal individually along with JM Sarah Yan.

John earned the Junior Master title by winning the Champions Trophy in 2016. He then won it again in 2017! Remarkable as he won the 2016 event as an intermediate player and comes from the rural town of Reefton.

Justine earned her JM title as the top senior player in the Champions Trophy 2017.

Anya earned her title by winning the Junior division of the Champions Trophy 2017. The following day she was also the top junior at the Teams National Finals 2017 - so if it was possible she effectively earned the title twice!

Nina was the top intermediate player in the Champions Trophy 2017.

Alphaeus came 1st place in the Junior Division of the Chess Power National Interschools Finals 2011 and was awarded the Junior Master title during the 1st MC Cup Qualifiers 2012 event.

William won the MC Cup Finals Championships 2012 and was awarded the Junior Master™ title at the 1st MC Cup Qualifiers event in 2013.

Johnson was the highest scoring player at the Chess Power Interschool National Finals 2015 scoring 8 from 9 games and accordingly was awarded the Junior Master title.

Miles Lee achieved the remarkable score of 8 from 9 games at the Chess Power Nationals Finals 2015 equalling the top score at the event. Miles was awarded the Junior Master title for this outstanding achievement.

Tri Nguyen, affectionately known amongst friends as Harry, achieved clear 1st place in the prestigious and ultra-strong Champions Trophy 2015 and was awarded the Junior Master title at this event.

Euan was awarded the Junior Master title at the Chess Power National Finals in 2015. Euan achieved a perfect score winning all 9 games. The photo is from when Euan won the Sarapu Cup Championship.

Daniel achieved the JM Master title by placing clear 1st overall at the Chess Power National Finals in 2016. He managed to win 8 of his 9 games which was an outstanding result given the intense competition.

Daniel gained his Junior Master title by achieving a perfect 9 out of 9 score at the Chess Power Teams National Finals 2015. Daniel has since gone on to be one of the strongest chess players in New Zealand and as of August 2018 is ranked #18 in the country. The photo was taken at the Central Auckland regionals 2014 where Daniel's Mt Roskill Intermediate team won the event beating a number of senior teams.
